David Conway
David Conway was born on the 28th of January 1976 in Dulwich, South London. His musical education started at The Hollyfield school, Surbiton and then from 1995 to 1998 at the London College of music, where he studied classical guitar with Carlos Bonell. After graduating David lived in South London teaching, performing and doing further studies gaining an I.M.F teaching diploma and a guitar diploma from the London College of Music. He moved to Johannesburg South Africa in November 2005, where he currently resides with his wife and two children. David offers guitar music (classical and/or electric) suitable for any occasion such as weddings, concerts, birthdays, restaurants, launches, corporate events and school assemblies. He regularly performs pieces from his recital programme. The programme is balanced with songs from Baroque, Classical, Romantic eras as well as modern works including arrangements of recent pop songs on classical or electric guitar but new pieces and songs can also be learnt with advance notice. Meetings can be arranged to discuss the order of the occasion, and to chat about your personal requirements. David also plays the piano and has taught privately and at various schools around London and Johannesburg. David would love to play some of his pieces for you. His wife, Angela Conway, is a pianist, and also teaches and accompanies instruments/voice on the piano.
